🎉 About This Event
How To Feel Your Feelings is a monthly space where we learn how to feel and heal ❤️🩹.
Each session explores a different theme: a specific emotion, inner experience or technique. You’re welcome to attend one or many. Each one is a complete journey in itself.
This month, we are exploring acceptance & forgiveness
💗 Acceptance & forgiveness: how can we accept ourselves, others and situations?
🧘♀️ Acceptance and forgiveness aren’t things we can try our way into.
We often try to accept a situation or forgive someone, but at the cost of repressing some important (but perhaps uncomfortable) part of ourselves.
- We try to forgive someone who let us down, so we push down the anger we feel
- We try to accept a situation (e.g. a job or relationship) because changing it would be scary
- We try to be positive about a setback, by denying our disappointment
This is innocent, but often leads to a surface-level acceptance that disconnects us from how we really feel.
Sometimes it's the opposite: we categorically refuse to accept or forgive which can too be a form of protection from something that feels unsafe within us.
(⚠️ this is not to say you should accept or forgive if it’s not right - only that healing starts by meeting your truth, whatever it is).
💡 In this workshop, we’ll explore how a deeper acceptance and forgiveness can emerge organically, when we first acknowledge and fully feel what’s true for us. (Including the end boss of the universe: accepting ourselves.)
📅 Workshop Agenda
We will explore:
✅ How we (innocently) use acceptance and forgiveness to protect ourselves
✅ How this disconnects us from our truth, voice and authenticity
✅ How to uncover and honour what we’re really feeling
✅ Embodied tools to meet what’s really here without judgment
✅ How genuine acceptance and forgiveness arise when we fully feel
🐵 Why Feel Your Feelings?
When you fully feel an emotion, it moves, softens and transforms.
- Anger becomes strength
- Fear becomes courage
- Shame becomes authenticity
This is how we access the wholeness, freedom, and aliveness we’re really longing for.
Not by bypassing the pain. But by learning how to meet it, feel it, and let it flow.
If you want to feel better, get better at feeling.
📝 My Approach
Your feelings live in your body. So I take a body-based approach that emphasises the direct experience of the body here and now.
My approach is trauma-informed, prioritising the safety and wellbeing of participants above all else.
🤩 What You Can Expect
This is a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space where the golden rule is a complete allowing of all the parts of you.
We will be exploring individual, pair and group exercises, along with lots of time for questions and sharing.
These are designed to help you:
✅ Connect safely to the body
✅ Understand what you’re feeling
✅ Let emotions process and release
✅ Notice unhelpful patterns
✅ Gently unwind resistance
Note: this is a group class, so we won’t be diving deeply into overly difficult emotions for the sake of everyone’s safety. We will be practicing foundational skills in safe ways that you can incorporate into your life.
All the exercises are optional, there is no obligation to participate or share.
