About this Event

Extension Master Gardeners of Cherokee County will be offering a series of Pro Gardening classes beginning January 14. The classes will begin at 9:00 AM at the Extension Annex for participants who wants to learn about gardening but are not quite ready to become an Extension Master Gardener. Each Class is $15.00. Individuals who participate in the Pro Series will receive training credit and a $30.00 discount for the next Master Gardener certification/initial training (not for the 2026 initial certification). Class registration and payment is through Eventbrite with a credit card and there are no refunds. Presentations for each class may vary between 1.5 to 3 hours. The class offerings are:

January 14 Soils and Composting

January 28 How To Diagnose Insects and Diseases In The Garden

February 4 Choosing The Right Plants For The Landscape

February 25 Dividing, Potting, and Propagation

March 4 Vegetable and Square Foot Gardening

March 25 Deadheading and Firescaping
