About this Event
Ever wanted to understand what is happening when people talk about chords and notes? Ever been confused by the vast amount of music theory content on the internet?
In this workshop, longtime musician David Lim breaks down the building blocks of music and how to understand it from a layman's perspective. Whether you are tone deaf or have no musical background, you will leave the workshop with a clear grasp of how music is made.
If you want to know the answers to any of the following questions, this workshop is for you!
- what is a chord?
- what is a key?
- what is a scale?
- what is major and minor?
- what is a sharp and a flat?
- how do I read notes?
- how do I identify a song’s key?
- how do I use a capo/transpose button?
If you already play an instrument or understand basic music theory, you can consider coming along to either clarify any doubts or be exposed to another way to teach this to other people in the future.
