Speaker Profile:
Mr Edward Pye is the Vice President, Intermediary Sales, at UOB Asset Management and is responsible for the external distribution relationships with intermediaries in Singapore. He has a demonstrated career history in both banking and FinTech industry. Starting his retail banking career in 2013 and later pivoting his career towards technology-driven financial services corporation like OANDA. He played a vital role in providing OANDA’s high value clients with cutting-edge technological solutions for multi-assets trading and currency information services. Prior to UOBAM, he was with a WealthTech startup, Kristal.AI where he was responsible for investment advisory, business development and product development. Edward graduated with a Master of Science in Economics from Singapore Management University (SMU) and holds a Bachelor of Business Management from RMIT.
Mr Victor Wong is the Head of the Sustainability Office, and a Portfolio Manager at UOB Asset Management, where he oversees the implementation of the company’s sustainable investment processes and sustainability initiatives, serving as the regional sustainability champion for UOBAM Singapore. Additionally, he manages several sustainable investment strategies, which recently garnered several awards in the Benchmark Fund of the Year Awards 2020 for ESG. He has over 22 years of investment experience.
Ms Low Soo Fang is the Vice President of Asia Equities at UOB Asset Management. She joined UOBAM in April 2015 and is part of the Asian Equities team covering APAC REITs and the Korea market. Her previous role included coverage of global Consumer Staples and acting as a sector generalist for Japan and Australia markets. Prior to joining UOBAM, she worked with National Australia Bank and AmInvestment Bank (AmBank Group). Soo Fang graduated with a Master of Finance (2007) and a Bachelor of Business (Bus. Info. Systems) (2004) from RMIT University (Aust.). She has over 16 years of industry experience.
Ms Iris Fan is Assistant Vice President of Asia Equities at UOB Asset Management. Iris joined UOBAM in August 2021 and is part of the Asian Equities team focusing on the China and Hong Kong markets. Prior to UOBAM, Iris worked at Credit Suisse as the Strategic Asset Allocation specialist. Her earlier experience includes roles in Investment Risk/Performance Analytics and she began her career as an Economist covering Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong. Iris graduated from University College London in the UK with a BSc (Hons) in Economics. She is a CFA charterholder as well as a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), with over 10 years of industry experience.
