About this Event
We are all walking unions of paradoxes.
Ideas, beliefs, desires, personas, and ways of being that contradict themselves. They are polarising parts:
The part that wants freedom ~ and the part that craves discipline.
The part that holds hope ~ and the part that feels hopeless.
Most of the time, we move between these opposites unconsciously. We toggle. We decide. We identify with one over the other, only to eventually find ourselves switching in time.
This practice invites something different . . .
Inspired by the Mandorla Practice from The Soul Initiation, this is a facilitated, outdoor group experience designed to explore what it means to embody both.
Together, we will create a temporary ceremonial space in nature using found materials, forming two overlapping circles (a mandorla). Each participant will have the opportunity to enter and move between these spaces – physically and emotionally embodying and amplifying the opposing forces within themselves – while being witnessed and supported by the drumming group.
Through movement, rhythm, and presence, this experience allows something new to emerge. A choice that exists beyond choosing sides.
"Not resolution. Not compromise. But a third space." – Bill Plotkin, author of The Soul Initiation
