Appearing in court as a witness can be intimidating or even mystifying. Even if you feel confident about handling a subpoena, you may still have unanswered questions. For example, what do you do when you get to court?

In this training, participants will learn about the process of appearing in court. Facilitator Jeanne Cummings will review strategies for managing yourself in the courtroom, in what can be challenging circumstances. The training aims to increase participants' comfort with the court process and confidence in their ability to appear as a witness. Join the training and become a better witness!

Participants will leave the training with:

  • An better understanding of the court process and a subpoenaed witness's role within that process
  • The responsibilities of individuals who are called to appear in court
  • Strategies for handling oneself in the courtroom setting
  • Information about handling cross-examination
  • Increased comfort and confidence in their ability to appear as a witness

Although it is not a prerequisite, this training serves as a complimentary counterpart to our training, Now What?
