The Wisconsin Wind Orchestra presents its inaugural concert at its new home, St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha. This 11-member professional chamber wind ensemble, directed by Dr. Lawrence Dale Harper, features two woodwind quintets and string bass, performing rarely heard works with rich color and nuance.Program:
• Petite Suite – Jean Sibelius
• Suite Persane – André Caplet
• Overture in the Italian Style – Franz Schubert
• Concerto for Oboe and Bassoon – Antonio Vivaldi, featuring soloists Suzanne Geoffrey (oboe) and Andrew Jackson (bassoon)
Admission: Free and open to the public.
A freewill offering will be taken.
This concert marks the beginning of an ongoing musical collaboration between the Wisconsin Wind Orchestra and St. Luke’s.
