Brock Institute for Nutrition Science and Health Inaugural Lecture will be held Tuesday, March 10, from noon to 1 p.m. on Old Dominion University's medical campus. “How Not To Age” will be presented by Michael Greger, MD, founding member and fellow of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, acclaimed author and internationally recognized speaker on nutrition.
The term “anti-aging” should be reserved for interventions that target one or more of the established aging mechanisms. This session will look nonpharmacological ways to influence those processes, uncover shared habits in the diets and lifestyles of healthy, long-lived populations, and explore nutrition strategies that help protect bladder, brain and bowel health as we grow older. It will also highlight ways to maintain bone and muscle mass along with practical guidance for managing skin aging and the vasomotor symptoms of menopause.
A light, nutritional boxed lunch will be served.
