About this Event
How important is elevated cholesterol as a marker?
When presented with elevated cholesterol, think beyond the green allopathy of "how to lower cholesterol" and understand where it fits into the larger picture of the client's health. When raised cholesterol is less of a concern, how do we better ascertain their overall cardiovascular health status, and next steps we can take with this client.
Kathleen Robb is a naturopath, previous occupational therapist, and author with a passion for holistic health, stress resilience, and cardiometabolic well-being. With a background in public mental health, solution-focused therapy, and natural medicine, she combines evidence-based science with practical strategies to help people live healthier lives. She draws from this past background in addressing underlying drivers and treating the whole person including their habits, environment and internal motivations and mindset. Kathleen has written a book and has a course for managing stress.
Kathleen also has a deep interest in cardiometabolic health and its role in overall healthspan, questioning conventional wisdom around what elevated cholesterol really means. She explores why cholesterol might be high, how it fits into broader cardiometabolic health, and natural ways to support healthy levels. Her particular interests include supporting metabolic health through improving health literacy.
