How are cultural institutions enhancing public engagement with artists of Chinese ancestry?
About this Event

Join us for an illuminating panel discussion about the role of cultural institutions, including museums and art galleries, in representing people with Chinese ancestry in exhibitions. In addition, the panel will address how cultural institutions are enhancing public engagement. Pancouver editor Charlie Smith will moderate this event with cultural leaders who will also share insights on new approaches for unearthing personal histories from racialized communities.

How are cultural institutions evolving in presenting the work of artists of Asian ancestry? How might this change in the future?

Lynn Chen (陳勵瑩) is Program Assistant at the Vancouver Art Gallery’s Institute of Asian Art where she connects local and global Asian communities through art education.
