About this Event

About

Mornington Peninsula Shire is excited to host Canadian farmer and author Jean-Martin (JM Fortier), a pioneer in the small-scale organic farming movement and leader of the Market Gardener Institute, as part of his lighting tour of Australia and New Zealand.

In this keynote, JM will delve into how the transformative power of how ecological farming can restore and ignite local communities. He will highlight the success stories of future growers empowered by The Market Gardener Institute and explore the innovative ventures that continue to shape the future of regenerative agriculture. This talk promises to inspire and equip attendees with the knowledge and passion to cultivate a more resilient and sustainable food system.

JM will be joined by esteemed NZ farmer Jodi Roebuck (Roebuck Farm) plus local farmers Olivier Shorthouse (Romaro Farm), Keren Tsaushu (Five Tales Farm), Rachelle Van Diggele (Grown Wild) plus Nick Rose (Sustain) for what is sure to be an enthralling panel discussion.
