For more than three decades, Houston Stand Down has been a cornerstone of veteran support, serving over 30,000 veterans and their families with access to essential resources, community connection, and hope. The 2025 event is expected to serve more than 700+veterans in a single day, offering a wide range of services including: - Career readiness and employment connections.
- Houston and legal assistance.
- Health and mental wellness services.
- Haircuts, grooming and basic needs support.
- Connections to transportation and financial literacy resources.
More than
80 partner organizations - including the VA, local nonprofits, workforce agencies, and community - based service providers - will gather under one roof to ensure veterans receive the support they need to thrive in civilian life.
While the services offered are critical, organizers emphasize that the true highlight of Houston Stand Down is the camaraderie. Veterans reconnect with one another, share stories, and find strength in community. The event serves as a reminder that no veteran is alone, and together, we can build pathways to brighter futures.
The 32 Annual Houston Stand Down is free and open to all veterans and their families.
