About this Event
In celebration of the autumn equinox—a time of balance and transition—this beginner-friendly class covers the essentials of keeping houseplants healthy and thriving. You’ll learn everything from understanding light and watering needs to plant identification, care techniques, and troubleshooting common issues, with special attention to how seasonal shifts can affect your plants and how to prepare them for the cooler months ahead.
Each participant will receive a plant and container to pot during the workshop and take home—equipped with the knowledge and confidence to care for it.
Tassy de Give has over 20 years of experience in horticulture. She is the Plant Director at Glasswing Greenhouse in Seattle, co-author of Rooted in Design (2015), and teaches at the University of Washington’s Botanic Gardens.
