Do you have paints, cleaners, and other chemicals in your home that you need to dispose of? RiverCOG is hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on April 11th from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm at Clinton Public Works Garage for residents of participating towns.This free collection program helps keep hazardous materials out of the environment and ensures they are disposed of safely.
This collection is open to members of the following towns: Chester, Clinton, Cromwell, Deep River, Durham, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Killingworth, Lyme, Middlefield, Middletown, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland, and Westbrook.
The event is a fully staffed, drive-through operation. Staff will guide you through the process and remove materials from your vehicle — you will not need to unload anything yourself.
Please bring proof of residency such as a driver’s license, tax bill, or other identification. There is NO charge for residents.
Please note: Commercial waste is not accepted.
