Bring them to one of our Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day for safe, responsible disposal.Antrim Conservation District hosts Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection events throughout the summer to help residents safely dispose of items like pesticides, paint, batteries, and more. These events help keep harmful materials out of our forests, soil, and waterways.
Please note:
This event is open to Antrim County residents only and ends promptly at noon. A small fee is collected for electronics and latex paint.
Commonly Accepted Items:
Oil-based paints, stains, and solvents
Automotive fluids (motor oil, antifreeze, gasoline)
Household cleaners and chemicals
Pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers
Batteries
Fluorescent bulbs and mercury-containing items
Propane tanks, fire extinguishers
Electronics and tires (fees/limits may apply)
Unknown or unlabeled chemicals
Items Not Accepted:
Appliances (refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, etc.)
Medical waste/sharps
Ammunition or explosives
Commercial or industrial waste
