There’s a certain kind of music that never really leaves you.For us, it was Detroit house.
The kind you’d lose yourself in for hours. The kind that turned random nights into core memories. Back when the Detroit Electronic Music Festival was still DEMF (now known as Movement Electronic Music Festival), we were there every year, fully in it. No schedules, no responsibilities, just pure energy, movement, and that feeling you can’t really explain unless you’ve lived it.
And if you’ve ever chatted with Pina, you already know… she’ll still tell anyone who’ll listen about the warehouse raves she was hitting in Detroit back in the 90s. That era, that sound, that energy… it’s part of who we are.
That stuck with us.
And for the longest time, we kept thinking… why does that kind of experience have to be tied to late nights and next-day regret?
So we started building something a little different.
And on May 9 at 7pm, it finally starts with DJVODKASODA.
We’re bringing that same energy, that same music, that same feeling… just earlier, more open, more welcoming.
At WindsorEats Food Hall, we’ve always believed going out should feel easy. It should feel fun. It should feel like something you actually want to do more of.
That’s a big part of how we’ve been building the WindsorEats Food Hall into Windsor’s Patio Headquarters. It's not just a place to sit outside, but a place where there’s always something happening. Something that pulls you in. Something that makes you want to stay a little longer.
Nights like this are exactly that.
A place where you can show up, grab a drink, move a little (or a lot), and actually enjoy the night without sacrificing your entire next day.
Where you don’t have to choose between a night out and being functional the next morning.
That’s the part we’re most excited about. Creating a space where “going out” looks a little different. Where parents can hang, music lovers can vibe, and everyone leaves feeling like they got a real night out… just on their own terms.
This is something Pina and I have wanted to do for a long time.
Not just music. Not just an event.
A feeling.
And it all kicks off May 9 at 7pm.
