Guess who’s in da House? It’s guest teacher Magali from Meanjin (Brisbane)!
In this class you’ll be introduced to foundational House grooves, and steps inspired by (or with similarities to) some classic solo jazz moves.
Magali has been dancing Lindy Hop for nearly ten years and has dabbled in various street dance styles over the last five.
She has an interest in the evolution of dances from the African Diaspora, and is currently focused on Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz, House, and Afro Fusion.
She is active in the swing and street dance community in Meanjin as a Lindy Hop teacher and event organiser. Check out her event Jump Session (@jump.session on IG) which brings together swing and street dance styles.
You’re sure to be loose(n)ing your leg in the kitchen after this class!

Cost: $20 for the class, or both Lindy 1 (6:30pm start) and House classes for $30!
