This special event will help Mahsa launch a funding campaign to support the production of a recording of Woven Verses, her original song cycle featuring Mahsa and Marjan's voices accompanied by an ensemble of virtuosic musicians with roots in Iran, Palestine, Armenia, Turkey, Norway, and the USA. Woven Verses premiered to standing ovations at The Freight and Salvage in October, 2024.
A recording of this album will enable this stunning, timely, and important new composition to reach a global audience.
Mahsa would like to offer the following thank you gifts to those able to contribute to this project at the following levels:
$100: Single admission to the April 27 Senger House Concert and/or a link to a video recording of the event, plus a letterpressed setting of a poem from Woven Verses created by house concert host Andrea Scharff, and a digital download of the Woven Verses album (available upon release).
$500: All the above, plus a physical copy of the Woven Verses CD, autographed with thanks to you from Mahsa and Marjan Vahdat and musical arranger Atabak Elyasi
