HOTDISH COMPETISH ENTRY RULES
Hotdish Competish will be held Sunday, February 22nd at DakotAbilities Longfellow Center.
Each competing chef will get one ticket to the event.
The competition categories are Hotdish, Notdish (Vegetarian), Totdish (Kids under 18), and Bars.
Hotdish Competish Competitor Rules/Guidelines:
FOOD PREPARATION: Prepare your hotdish to be the equivalent of two 9x13 pans (for most recipes this would be a double batch). We will need to keep the hotdishes warmed to comply with health regulations. If your hotdish can be cock pot compatible, we would encourage you to bring it that way. If not, we have a limited number of warming vessels available for use. Please e-mail [email protected] if you would like to use our warming vessels and we will provide you with pans that will fit. Please bring your hotdish or bars to DakotAbilities at 4pm on Sunday, February 22nd.
JUDGING: Celebrity judging will begin at 4:30pm, and the public tasting will begin at 5pm. Prizes will be awarded by our celebrity judges at 6:30pm to the top Hotdish, Notdish (vegetarian), Totdish (kids entry), and Bars. The public will vote for people’s choice, which will win a special prize, too. So, encourage your friends and family to come vote!
Hotdish Competish is a benefit event hosted by All Saints Neighborhood Association and Friends of McKennan Park Neighborhood with proceeds going to DakotAbilities. Both entities are non-profit, 501(c)(3) volunteer-led organizations.
Celebrity judges will choose the best entry in each of the following categories: Hotdish (meat), Notdish (vegetarian), Totdish (made by kids), and Bars (dessert). YOU will have the opportunity to vote for the People's Choice winner! You do not have to live in the All Saints or McKennan Park Neighborhoods to attend or participate! Celebrity judging will take place at 4:30 PM and food will be served from 5-7PM.
