**The Menopause Conversation Has Erupted.**
Women Are Done Being Silent. Across New Zealand, something is shifting. At kitchen tables, in group chats and during hot-flushy sleepless nights, thousands of women are asking the same questions: Why didn’t anyone tell me? Am I going crazy? Where do I get real answers? From unexplained weight gain to the wild ride of HRT and hormonal chaos, midlife women are looking for more than vague advice, social media overload or embarrassment wrapped in silence. This generation is done with being dismissed. And now, they’re showing up in their thousands to talk and learn.
On the back of a sold-out debut tour in April and a tidal wave of demand, ‘HOT MESS: Navigating Midlife & Menopause’ is returning this August - this time, reaching up to 2000 women in seven centres across Aotearoa. It’s not just a show. It’s a wake-up call.
“Being surrounded by other hot mess women was so empowering. You gave us permission to go through this life-changing time with grace and reminded us we’re not alone.” – Auckland attendee Led by broadcaster Petra Bagust and journalist and author Niki Bezzant,
HOT MESS is a candid, joy-filled and deeply validating evening about the stuff no one warned us about. It’s where laughter meets learning and women leave saying, “Finally—someone said it out loud.” “I’ve never had a flat belly and always felt like a failure because of that. Niki changed my perspective - the majority of women are not MEANT to have flat tums, and it was like a light bulb went on for me. Loved it!” – Queenstown attendee
Niki and Petra have become two of the strongest voices in the national menopause conversation. This tour is their rallying cry for better information, more compassion and a culture that stops pretending women disappear at 45. This is not a moment. It’s a movement.
Tickets are $49-$59 from hotmesstour.nz - there are group savings for the whole meno-posse or there’s even a “Bring Ya Bloke” rate for couples who want to face the furnace together.
