City Tavern’s 3rd Annual July 4th Chili Dog Eating Competition & Block PartyThis Independence Day, City Tavern in the downtown Fort Myers River District will host its 3rd Annual July 4th Block Party & Chili Dog Eating Competition to benefit local military heroes who have served for our freedom.
This fun-packed July 4th Block Party kicks off at 4pm and will feature food by celebrity chef Brian Duffy, live music by DJ Juan Gomez, drinks, and fireworks starting at 9pm.
All event proceeds will benefit the local American Legion Post #38, which provides food, services, and basic necessities--from household items to money for the electric bill--to local military veterans in need, and relies solely on donations.
Special event highlights include the Chili Dog Eating Contest hosted/emceed by celebrity chef Brian Duffy at 6pm, followed by a giant check presentation to the American Legion Post #38, which serves an estimated 200 local veterans each month.
