? Mt Macedon CFA Horse & Livestock Bushfire Planning Session – Hosted by Bolinda–Monegeetta CFAAs Victoria and the Macedon Ranges approach another high-risk bushfire and grassfire season, it’s essential that horse and livestock owners have a clear, practiced plan.
This FREE community information session is designed specifically for people who keep horses, agist animals or manage livestock on rural or semi-rural properties.
The session is held at Mt Macedon and delivered by local Bolinda–Monegeetta CFA volunteers who are also horse owners.
You’ll Learn How To:
• Build a bushfire plan that includes horses and livestock
• Safely evacuate animals when minutes matter
• Create firebreaks, defendable areas and safe zones
• Manage feed, water, fencing and shelter on high-risk days
• Understand horse behaviour during emergencies
Bushfires can move rapidly — sometimes faster than you can act.
Preparing now is the most effective way to protect both human and animal lives.
