Welcome to the launch of Horror in Seconds Micro Events!
We’re kicking things off with Horror Open Mic featuring local BIPOC artists sharing stories, poems, and performances inspired by the theme: Your First Scare
Then test your knowledge in our Horror Micro Trivia for a chance to win prizes from our community partner Rue Morgue, one of the world's leading horror magazines.
These micro events are smaller and more intimate by design, focused on building community and creating space for horror fans to connect.. Expect a fun night filled with community vibes and Halloween candy

Horror in Seconds is Canada’s only indie horror festival dedicated to showcasing emerging BIPOC horror filmmakers through innovative 60-second smartphone shorts. Besides films, Horror in Seconds expands beyond films to highlight BIPOC talents in different art forms: Horror Drag, Horror poetry, and more.
Starting this October, we’re launching a new series of intimate monthly micro-events to spotlight BIPOC voices in horror through poetry, open mic, trivia, and more.
