About this Event
Sunday, March 30th, Join the Horrible Things Film Club for RIKI-OH BINGO
RIKI-OH, The Story of Riki, is an utterly bat-shit 1991 Gore-Fu classic. Adapted from a popular Japanese Manga* and Directed by legendary Hong Kong filmmaker Ngai Choi Lam (The Cat, The Seventh Curse), at first glance, Riki-OH is a simple Violence-In-A-Pr*son exploitation film, but quickly becomes the Holy-Shit-What-Is-Happening absurdist classic that we think you're going to love.
Believe the hype. It. Is. Fucking. Amazing.
*The film is so faithful to the ultraviolent source material that it became the first Cat III film (Hong Kong's rating equivalent of NC-17) to receive the rating solely for its depictions of extreme violence and gore.
To make it all the more insane, we’ll be showing the film in our Movie Bingo format (Think of it like a Drinking Game, where things happening on-screen are what cue the calls.) Bingo Winners will receive special prizes, and we’ll have merch only available at this free event!
