For more than fifty years, education has been at the heart of the Armstrong Air & Space Museum’s mission to inspire the next generation of explorers and innovators. In that spirit, the museum is proud to present Horizons, a special fundraising event on Saturday, March 14, 2026, honoring the 60th anniversary of Neil Armstrong’s first space mission, Gemini VIII, and supporting schools and clubs that may not otherwise have access to museum learning experiences. Guests will enjoy museum programming, beverages and heavy hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and a featured presentation by Les Schneider, one of the helicopter pilots who helped recover the Gemini VIII crew after its emergency splashdown.
The evening begins with a 6:00 p.m. reception and a 7:00 p.m. presentation at the Armstrong Air & Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Ohio; tickets are $125 per person or $150 per couple.
