Win Food for a Year in Hopkins County! Hungry? Get ready to eat your way across Hopkins County! The Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission is excited to host the 5th Annual Great Restaurant Race this April, giving locals and visitors a fun way to explore local dining, with guaranteed rewards for finishers and a chance to win Food for a Year in Hopkins County.
From April 1–30, participants are invited to dine at 12 different restaurants in Hopkins County, save their receipts, and upload them online to complete the race. This is not a speed-based competition, participants have the entire month of April to enjoy meals at their own pace. Everyone who completes the race will receive an official Great Restaurant Race Finisher Prize.
In addition to the guaranteed finisher prize, one grand prize winner will be randomly selected from all eligible finishers to receive a $50 gift card to each of the 12 restaurants they submitted, for a total of $600 in local dining!
Hopkins County is home to more than 100 restaurants, offering everything from award-winning barbecue and classic diners to coffee shops, bakeries, and family-friendly favorites. The Great Restaurant Race highlights the depth and variety of Hopkins County dining while encouraging residents and visitors to discover new favorites.
“Hopkins County has an incredible variety of dining options, and the Great Restaurant Race is a fun way to experience them,” said Colbi Ferguson, Communications Director for the Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission. “This year, we wanted to make sure everyone who completes the race is rewarded, while also offering a grand prize that truly celebrates Hopkins County restaurants. It’s about exploring, supporting local, and enjoying great food all month long.”
The contest begins on April 1, 2026. Submitted receipts must be original receipts provided by the restaurant and must include the restaurant name, date of purchase, and total amount. Receipts must be dated on or after April 1, 2026, to be eligible. Purchase is required, although there is no minimum purchase amount. Carry-out, dine-in, drive-thru, and delivery orders are all accepted. Receipts must be from 12 different restaurants located in Hopkins County. Only one person per household is eligible to enter. Each receipt must be unique and may not be duplicated for multiple entries. Entries must be submitted by April 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
