* Sign up within the event with the ages of children attending. Max class size:35 Taught by Carolan Schafer,
students will discover how modern robots work, how coding gives them instructions, and how artificial intelligence is already part of everyday life. We’ll talk about using technology wisely and responsibly, then put learning into action with hands-on Sphero robot programming using drag-and-drop coding.
What Students Will Do
• Learn basic coding concepts through simple, active demonstrations
• Discuss real-world robotics and AI
• Practice teamwork while programming Sphero robots
• Think about how robotics may shape future jobs and society
Age Range: Elementary–Middle School (activities adjusted by age and experience) Younger children may participate with parental help, and play outside with parental supervision if needed.
A parent or guardian must attend and assist their child as needed. Donations are welcome and help cover materials and preparation time.
