Hope, Healing & Prevention Community Day
Building Bridges to Hope is excited to invite you to participate in our upcoming Hope, Healing & Prevention Community Day. This event will bring together community partners and residents from across Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Franklin to promote connection, collaboration, and access to vital resources.
Our goal is to:
- Provide mental health education and awareness
- Promote substance use prevention and recovery resources
- Support reentry and second-chance populations
- Connect community members to local services and supports
- Encourage overall health, wellness, and prevention
Participation Opportunities
We are currently seeking community partners to host resource/vendor tables and share information about their services. We welcome organizations including, but not limited to:
- Mental health providers
- Substance use prevention and recovery organizations
- Financial literacy and workforce development programs
- Reentry and second-chance organizations
- Housing and human services agencies
- Healthcare providers
- Youth prevention and education programs
There is no cost to participate, and tables and chairs will be provided.
The day will include:
- Educational workshops and guest speakers
- Register for free Mental Health First Aid training
- Register for free CPR and First Aid certification
- Youth activities
- Community engagement opportunities
We are also inviting a limited number of organizations to lead 45-minute educational sessions or workshops. If you are interested in being a featured speaker,
