RULES AND REGULATIONS
Each team shall consist of a minimum of 3 players and maximum of 4 (with 3 players on the court and 1 substitute). Players only allowed to participate on 1 team and cannot play on multiple teams.
A coin flip shall determine which team gets the first possession. The team that wins the coin flip can elect to have initial ball possession at the beginning of the game.The game must start with three players on the court.
The regular playing time shall be as follows: one period of twenty (20) minutes playing time. The first team to score 21 points or more wins the game if it occurs before the end of regular playing time. Otherwise, the team leading at the end of the 20-minute time period will be considered the winner.
Substitutions can be done by any team when the ball becomes dead, prior to the check-ball. The substitute can enter the game after his teammate steps off the court and establishes a physical contact with him. Substitutions can only take place behind the end line opposite the basket and substitutions require no action from the referees or table officials.
A running clock will be used except during free throws. There will be a 16-second shot clock in use. Possession changes after each made basket or violation of the shot clock.
Each team will have 1 time-out per game.
A player is disqualified after three (3) personal fouls in a game.
Every team will play a minimum of two (2) games. A team trophy will be awarded to the winning team in each bracket.
Please bring a photo ID to the game to verify the age of each player.
Participants agree to allow the Delaware Prostate Cancer Coalition use their likeness on the DPCC website.
The organizer may disqualify an entire team from the event for acts of violence, verbal or physical aggression, unbecoming behavior or inappropriate interference with the tournament proceedings.
