Hoodoo in the Park
Get ready for Hoodoo in the Park β an awesome in-person event where good fellowship and great times are guaranteed! Relax, meet like-spirited individuals, and dive into the unique experience that our community has been yearning for. Donβt miss out on the magic happening live, right in the heart of Hampton park (formerly Orange Grove Plantation). Bring your tribe or arrive solo for a magical and memorable day!
Dress Code
Please wear what you desire (casual or semi-formal), we just ask that you be mindful that pictures and videos will be recorded. Attendees have full creative freedom of their attire. All black and/or all white is strongly encouraged but not mandatory. Different shades of haint and indigo blue is also strongly encouraged but not mandatory. Images are included below for outfit inspiration. Again, come as you are. The outfit inspiration is curated for festive purposes only! Whether you want to dress down or dress up, join us and let your soul be fed!
WHO IS THIS EVENT FOR?
HOODOO IS A CLOSED PRACTICE, meaning it is soley for individuals of African descent, particularly those with a direct lineage to enslaved African Americans/Africans enslaved in America.
Event organizers have the right to refuse participation/inclusion for any guest(s) at any given time.
There is no age restriction for this event, feel free to bring the chern!
You don't have to be an expert nor advanced in Hoodoo to attend the event. This event is for all Hoodoos of every "level", from beginners to elders.
What Should I Bring?
The following are items you can bring but are not mandatory: Lawn Chairs, Blankets, Water, Bug Spray, Tambourines, White Candles (7 day, taper, tealight)
