About this Event
Honouring our Past - Women and Girls’ Cricket History
Join us for Catching History, an inspiring in-person presentation celebrating the achievements of women and girls in Scottish Cricket leading up to the formation of the first Scottish Women's team in 2000. Discover stories and the groundbreaking moments that shaped history. Bring your own memories and share them with each other and the researchers. Come along, connect, and honour the legends who've paved the way!

This photo from 1997 hangs in The Grange Club. We know women's cricket was played here much earlier - can you help fill in the gaps?
This event is part of the Honouring Our Past project that runs throughout the summer to discover more of our Scottish women and girls' cricketing history. It is supported by a partnership between Cricket Scotland and Bayfirth Research CIC.
It forms part of the search for hidden histories to inform an exhibition in 2028 celebrating 150 years of women and girls' cricket in Scotland.
This presentation precedes the second Tri-Series T20 Match Scotland v Netherlands at The Grange Club in Edinburgh (starting 1pm). We would love to hear your memories throughout the afternoon - find us in the pavilion (or on the steps up to it).
