Community Leaders Join Forces for "Honoring the Past, Powering the Future" Black History Month Celebration
DALLAS, TX — A powerful collaboration of community organizations and distinguished leaders is set to host a vibrant celebration of culture, performance, and heritage. The event, themed "Honoring the Past, Powering the Future," will take place on Saturday, February 28th, from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at River Ranch.
Located at 811 Pemberton Hill Rd. Bldg. #2, Dallas, Texas 75217, this special event invites the public to engage in a rich experience of performance and culture designed to bridge generations.
The celebration will feature a lineup of prominent speakers and advocates, including:
Dr. Walter Milton: CEO/Founder and Co-author.
Sam Allen: CEO/Founder of the North Texas Buffalo Soldiers.
Veda Loca: Representing Loca 94.5 FM Radio and the Smiling Faces Foundation.
Triniti Chitman: Texas Teen Summit Spokesperson 2025-26.
Carol A. Blakes: Youth Advisor for NANBPWC, Inc. Garland Club.
Tonya Hill: Representing the Citizens Committee to Save Our Children Inc..
Regina Mouzon: Bound By Grace Community Wellness Program.
A core focus of the afternoon is the empowerment of the next generation, with a special call for Youth Talent to participate. This inclusive environment aims to foster a deep appreciation for history while providing a platform for the voices of the future.
The event is supported by a diverse group of partners, including Black History 365, River Ranch Educational Charities, Youth Advisor for NANBPWC, Inc. and Bound by Grace, among others.
