About this Event

This virtual workshop is designed to offer insight into Juneteenth. More specifically, attendees will get more acquainted with the historic event, understand why this history matters to all global citizens, and what we all can do to honor the formally enslaved people and create a new legacy of shared humanity.

Juneteenth is an opportunity for all people, regardless of social identity, to foster a culture of belonging. This holiday creates an affirming space for Afro-Diasporic people at work, at home, and across our society. is beneficial for an entire organization. Juneteenth also creates an opportunity to acknowledge the investments that still must be made to create an inclusive and equitable society.

Abridged Testimony: “Once connected to Kina, and seeing her passion we knew there was no other choice for us. What we couldn't have prepared for, though, was the way she would lead us all on an incredibly profound journey in that hour-long session that navigated us through the foundation of understanding the history of Juneteenth, moved us to understand the importance of feeling and acknowledging grief, to get to healing and progress, and left us with so much to reflect.”
