HONOLULU POETRY SLAMLAST CHANCE SLAM

The Honolulu Poetry Slam is approaching another milestone! Next month is the Grand Slam Finals. Which means this month is the Last Chance Slam; the last qualifying Slam before the Finals in May.
Hawaii's best poets will edify, electrify, and entertain. Everyone's a champion, but only one poet takes home $100! So many amazing poets gracing the Slam stage; expect a truly inspiring show.
As if that wasn’t enough, we are delighted to feature two amazing guest performers this month!!!
Sami L.A. Akuna over 25 years of professional experience in butoh, contemporary dance, and drag, and has performed in Asia, Europe, North America, and across the Pacific.
Frankie Blue is a singer and songwriter originally from Louisiana. He combines a beautiful voice and engaging storytelling, with lyrics at turns playful and vulnerable.
Musical awesomeness, as always, is provided by DJ WanderLust, a multitalented artist and educator, and the best damn DJ in poetry. And your host is Liam Skilling.
The Slam is held at the Slack Key Lounge in Hawaiian Brian’s at 1680 Kapiolani Blvd on the second floor. Validated parking, food, and drinks!
