It’s called Trashcan Country - a raucous, rough-edged twist on twang that’s dragged through the back alleys of punk, doused in garage-rock grit and left out to dry in the blazing sun.At the core of Honk is an electrifying live show - equal parts hoedown and meltdown - a runaway mine train which has earned support slots with trailblazers like Tramhaus, Meryl Streek, Delivery and Being Dead, as well as consistent backing from BBC 6 Music’s Marc Riley and Steve Lamacq.
“Closing Down Sale”, the follow up EP to their debut “Grand Opening” drops this Summer, alongside a run of gigs across the UK, with appearances at The Great Escape, Get Together Festival, Deer Shed Festival, Label Mates and Rotterdam’s Left of The Dial. Cop it while you can - everything must go.
