Join us for a relaxing and inspiring 2-hour workshop designed for beginners — Hong Kong Words & Beyond — hosted by Read First Bookshop.
In this workshop, you’ll:
- Uncover the Basics of the Hong Kong language and explore what sets it apart from Mainland Chinese
- Learn 10 Words that truly resonate with Hong Kongers, along with the fascinating stories behind them
- Experience Calligraphy as we demonstrate how to write these 10 Hong Kong words;
- Try It Yourself! Get hands-on practice writing your favourite Hong Kong word (with all the tools you need provided)
- Savor the moment with a warm cup of Hong Kong tea, accompanied by beautiful music that will transport you to the streets of Hong Kong
- Receive additional resources to continue your journey of discovering more about Hong Kong and its vibrant culture
