In response to the recent fire incident at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, the Hong Kong IOSH Community is hosting a dedicated Fire Safety Seminar titled Remembering the lessons of the Wang Fuk court fire: Community fire safety seminar to build a safe and secure home.
This event aims to help industry practitioners, property management professionals, and community members better understand the fire event, strengthen household fire‑risk awareness, and enhance practical fire‑safety readiness in residential settings. Attendees will gain insights into common fire hazards, preventive strategies, emergency response measures, and how communities can work together to build safer homes.
Guest Speaker: Ir Professor Gaby KUN
Ir Professor Gaby KUN is an experienced professional in property and facilities management, engineering, ESG, occupational safety and health, and smart‑building technologies. He has held senior roles across major telecommunications, media, and facility management organisations and teaches at City University of Hong Kong and THEi as an Adjunct Professor.
Professor KUN holds multiple fellowships and chartered qualifications across engineering, safety, and facilities management, along with extensive experience in IoT smart buildings, smart‑city applications, and AI‑driven data centres.
