About this Event
Many pollinating creatures flutter and buzz around flowers in Florida yards and gardens with honey bees being a very productive member. Honey bees are vital to Florida's agriculture, pollinating around 30% of the state's food crops. Without the movement of pollen from one flower to another hunger would be the result. If beekeeping is an interest, it's best learn and be exposed to beekeeping to see if its right for you. This workshop will discuss bee biology, life cycles, colony disorders, honeybee nutrition and basic beekeeping. Don't be alarmed no honeybees are invited to visit.
