Join us for an exclusive Hive Tour Experience at Honeybee Centre!
Step into the fascinating world of honeybees with Honeybee Centre. Your visit begins with a buzz-worthy intro to honeybees and a glimpse into the sweet story of how the Honeybee Centre came to be.
This immersive experience takes you behind the scenes of our working apiary, where you'll gain a fascinating insight into the world of bees and beekeeping.
What to Expect:
✔ Short Classroom Lesson all about honeybee and beekeeping – Learn the basics of beekeeping, pollination, and the importance of honeybees in our ecosystem.
✔ Guided Beehive Inspection – Suit up in a beekeeping jacket and veil as we open a live hive and explore the inner workings of a honeybee colony.
✔ Meet the Queen Bee – If we are lucky... spot the queen, observe worker bees in action, and learn about their essential role in pollination.
✔ Taste Fresh Honey – Experience the unique flavors of fresh, raw honey *straight from the hive (when available).
✔ Loads of opportunities for photos!
✔ Q&A with a Beekeeper – Have all your buzzing questions answered by our expert beekeeper.
Who Should Attend?
This experience is perfect for nature lovers, foodies, and anyone curious about bees! No prior beekeeping knowledge is required.
All protective gear provided (though longs pants and close-toed shoes are required!).
Please note: Every guest entering our classroom or apiary must be registered to attend – that includes adults accompanying children. We keep our group sizes small to make sure everyone gets the full experience, so please make sure each person in your party has a ticket. This is NOT a program for under 7. Check out our may other family friendly offerings like our Junior Beekeeper program. 🐝
Cancellation Policy:
Life happens – we get it! If you need to cancel your registration, we’re happy to offer a full refund (minus Eventbrite fees) as long as we hear from you at least 48 hours before the start of the workshop. This gives us enough time to offer your spot to another eager bee-lover.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance may not be eligible for a refund unless we can fill your spot. (We’ll always try!)
If we ever need to reschedule due to weather or instructor availability, and you can’t make the new date, you’ll receive a full refund – no questions asked.
🌧 This program is weather-dependent and will be cancelled if it's raining – if that happens, you’ll be refunded in full.
