Experience the natural and cultural history of Honey Creek!Join Honey Creek State Natural Area Superintendent, Ranger Gil Martinez, for an interpretive walk to one of the last pristine bodies of water in Texas, Honey Creek, to learn about the area's natural and cultural history. The trail is about 2 miles long and moderate in difficulty--much of it is flat, but there are some rocky areas, slopes, and two steep but short hills.
*Expect the walk to last ~2 hours as there are frequent stops to discuss topics such as flora, fauna and geology*
Who: Recommended for ages 7 and up; no dogs, please, except for service dogs
Meet: Outside the Rust House (located within Guadalupe River State Park)
When: 8:30- 10:30am
Bring: Sturdy footwear, water, and sun protection
It is imperative to dress for the weather and be hydrated during the summer months.
Cost: Free with park admission; Adults: $7, Children 12 & under: Free
