Science based evidence has shown that eating the Mediterranean way can reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, lower cholesterol, and lower the risk of type 2 diabetes. To enjoy Mediterranean inspired dishes, you do not have to visit a country in the Mediterranean. You can prepare and enjoy Mediterranean dishes in your own home!
In this class, participants will discover the food and culture of Greece. Greece is a country in the Mediterranean, known for it's seafood, olives, yogurt, and more. Attendees will prepare Greek chicken skewers called Souvlaki with a cucumber sauce called Tzatziki. The souvlaki will be served with Greek roasted vegetables called Briam and Lemon rice.
