Excellence is about building habits and processes that make it possible for us to envision and create better futures. We use the term excellence to describe doing things very well, but it also takes into account managing costs, such as the resources used, time and energy (ours and others). When we seek to achieve excellence, we also want to manage these resources in a way that balances our needs today with our needs (and others’ needs) in the future.
We will use resource management itself as our practice topic for learning how to build habits and processes for achieving excellence. Students will be encouraged to pick a project they are interested in that utilizes natural resources (and everything in the real world comes from natural resources) so they can make progress towards something they already want to achieve.
