Homeschool Hour - Ancient Writing Systems

Please join us at the Hazleton Area Public Library for a special program designed for homeschool families with children of all ages.
On Tuesday, April 21st, from 1 - 2 pm, we will learn about the origins of the written word, from simple pictographs to elaborate calligraphy. We will learn why some languages are written left-to-right, right-to-left, and top-to-bottom, and how English has lost letters in its alphabet as recently as the 20th century!
Registration is required and begins on April 13th. Please call the Youth Services Deparment at 570-454-2961 to sign up.
