A 4 week program on fishing for kids! Learn to craft your own fishing gear including nets and handlines. Use that gear to catch fish!
About this Event

Join us in this 4 week fishing program! Students will learn how to carve their own fishing handlines, tie their own nets, carve worm grunters, and we will have plenty of time to fish! All ages below 16 welcome (people 14 and under do not need a Massachusetts fishing license). Class will cover a lot of non-traditional ways to fish, mostly involving the fishing handline. The last class, students can bring their rods if they would like to use them! Tim Swanson, lead instructor and founder of OEWS will be teaching this class. If the opportunity allows, students will have the chance to learn how to process a fish to prepare for cooking.

It is preferred by the instructor that parents stay for the duration of each class. Younger siblings who may be too young to be a student in class are welcome to tag along. Ticket sales only apply to students who are participating in the class.
