Maple Woods Co-op is calling all young creators, makers, and future business owners! We’re thrilled to host the Homeschool Kid Entrepreneur Fair — a special event just for homeschooled kids ages 5 to 17 to run their very own booth and explore the world of entrepreneurship.

🛍️ What It Is:
Each child will create and manage their own booth, selling handmade goods, baked items, art, crafts, or services. This is a hands-on, real-world learning experience that builds confidence, creativity, and money management skills — all in a supportive and fun community atmosphere.

🕘 Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Location: In the heart of Downtown Mount Airy
💵 We are asking for participation Donation if possible (not required): $5 per booth

*Selling of items must be done by the homeschool child and not the parent.
Maple Woods is a holistic, nature-focused homeschool co-op, and we’d love for our Entrepreneur Event to reflect those same values. We encourage participants to bring items inspired by homesteading, forest school, or Waldorf-style approaches. This could be handmade, natural, and creative.
Here are some ideas to help spark inspiration:

Handcrafts: knitting, crochet, sewing, woodworking, leatherwork, pottery, jewelry making, weaving.

Natural Living: soap making, beeswax candles, herbal teas, salves, lotions, essential oil blends.

Food & Homestead Goods: baked goods, preserves, jams, sourdough, homegrown herbs, honey, farm-fresh items.

Art & Creativity: painting, nature-inspired art, calligraphy, photography, handmade cards, storytelling, music CDs.

Just to give some ideas but not limited to this list!

Our goal is to keep this event aligned with a natural, intentional lifestyle. Celebrating creativity, sustainability, and the handmade touch.
