Whether you are part of a large co-op or an individual family, we welcome you to explore the resilience of the Ozarks during the Great Depression. Students will get hands-on with history at Mr. Cooper’s Barn and learn the art of bartering at the historic Steele General Store.
What to expect:
• Farm Life: Interactive activities at our 1930s barn.
• Commerce: Lessons on bartering and trade in our 1870s store.
• Innovation: A look at the New Deal and how electricity changed rural life.
The program is FREE, but space is limited to 75 participants and registration is required.
