🎒Carolina Kids Co-Op Gainesville presentsHomeschool Community Day: Food4Kids Volunteer Opportunity
Join us as we pack food bags for needy children from all across Alachua County! The Food4Kids Backpack Program of North Florida fills backpacks with nonperishable food and distributes them to thousands of students in need, from kindergarten through high school. Food4Kids is a 100% volunteer-run program, and they need our help!
Let’s teach our children that the true meaning of joy is building strong relationships and living our values in part through community service and thinking of those in need.💛
🎒RSVP—
Spots are limited to 20 people total (adults and children combined). RSVP at the top 🔝 of this event *AND* below ⬇️ in the Designated RSVP. Please include number of children. I will ❤️ your RSVP to confirm your spots.
🎒 Please dress comfortably, wear sneakers/tennis shoes and bring plenty of snacks and water. Everyone will need to complete the liability waiver to volunteer.
🎒 This is a family event (not a drop off program). Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
🎒 Directions—
Driving east on 39th Avenue, cross through the intersection at 6th Street and pass Oasis Car Wash on the left. Do a U-turn at the gas station & then turn immediately right into the car wash and continue straight to the large tan building, UF Mover Guys (formerly Keith Watson Events). Stay to the right side of the building and we are the back corner space inside the chain link fenced area immediately past the storage container. Look for the last blue awning. Parking can be found anywhere inside of the chain link fence that doesn't block a bay door.
