5-part series: Fridays, September 12, 19, 26, October 3, 10
Time: 10:00 am - noon
Ages: 7 - 12
In this hands-on class, students will explore the exciting world of 3D design and bring their imagination to life. Using Tinkercad, a fun and beginner-friendly design tool, kids will learn how to create, customize, and prepare their own 3D models for printing. Along the way, they’ll design small projects like keychains and dice, and work on two bigger projects: a personalized pencil holder and a color lithophane using their own picture. To understand the entire process from concept → design → printing, students will learn how to slice their design before sending it to the 3D printer. Each student will take home the 3D printed personalized pencil holder and the lithophane.
These classes nurture creativity, problem-solving skills, and confidence while discovering how everyday objects are designed and manufactured. No prior experience needed—just curiosity and imagination.
