This isn’t just a donation drop-off, this is a community experience.
With the federal shutdown and SNAP benefits being delayed or cut for many households, families in our region are struggling to keep food in their homes. Home should feel safe, warm, full! Especially during the holidays!
This event is about us showing up for one another.
It’s time to come together, meet each other, support each other, and give together.
What’s Happening at the Event:
- 🥫 Food Drive — donating nonperishables to Capital Area Food Bank
- 👗 Clothing Swap — bring gently worn clothing & shop what others bring
- 🎨 Kid Crafts Corner — cookie decorating + drawing table
- ☕ Hot Cocoa Bar — sip, mingle, connect, warm up
How the Clothing Swap Works:
Bring clothing to swap if you’d like, OR feel free to shop even if you didn’t bring clothing to donate!
Clothing not taken home at the end of the event will be donated to A Wider Circle.
What to Donate (Food):
- canned or dry beans, nuts, seeds
- whole grain cereals (low sugar)
- cooking oils, tea, shelf-stable milks
- rice, pasta, tortillas
- non-salt spices
- canned fruits (100% juice)
- canned tuna/salmon/chicken (in water)
- peanut butter (no hydrogenated oils)
- low-sodium canned vegetables
Why This Matters:
We help people find homes, but this season, we’re also helping fill them.
Come drop off food, swap clothes, sip hot cocoa, decorate cookies, let your kids create — and take a moment to be in community.
Because when we show up for each other — we all go home a little more full.
