Would you like to watch a program of experimental short films followed by a Q&A? Please join us for a special screening of Homegrown Stories here in Lowell, MA, on Thursday, April 30th, at 7:00 pm.Homegrown Stories is an online collaborative media project featuring the work of nationally and internationally recognized, video and sound artists. There will be a post-screening Q&A session with Homegrown Stories contributing artists, Jeff Caplan (Lowell, MA), Brian Alves (Haverhill, MA), Markus Haala (Brooklyn, NY).
Established in 2013 by local filmmaker and Temple professor LeAnn Erickson and Sandra Louise Dyas, Homegrown Stories collaborations have resulted in the creation of over 160 short experimental videos. Much of the work created as part of Homegrown Stories takes the form of moving poetry, the aesthetics embracing a ‘prompt’ approach commonly used in writing exercises.
